It has been a fabulous first semester at Southside Elementary School. Staff and students have worked hard to make the most of every learning day and opportunity. Thank you, parents for supporting your child by helping with homework, staying in contact with your child’s classroom teacher and attending Southside family events.
Remember that students can log onto our online platforms: Education Galaxy and Moby Max over the break from school. Students will know how to log into these tools from a home computer. A school break is also a great time to dive into a book. Having expended free time allows children to engage in reading as a relaxing activity. Encourage your child to relax with a good book the next few weeks!
As we head into 2017 thank you for keeping your child’s school attendance as a top priority. Good attendance is a “life skill” that will translate into other areas of responsibility as your child grows. You are teaching them great skills by making school attendance a top priority. Being on time and ready to go everyday makes a difference!
Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season. Looking forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday, January 2, 2017!
Mrs. Susie Burkhardt
