March 2, 2012 Several Shelby County Area Technology Center SkillsUSA members tested their technical skills against other high schools members. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student excel. The students competed in Automotive Technology, Motor Control, Precision Machining, and Information Technology. On April 2 most of the students will be competing at the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills competition in Louisville, Ky. This opportunity will add to their experiences and hopefully lead to a trip the SkillsUSA National conference in Kansas City, in June.
