=East Middle School and Shelby County High School bands all received distinguished ratings. This is the first time that all three groups – 6th grade band, combined 7th and 8th grade band and the high school band – all received Distinguished in the same year. This is the first Distinguished for the high school band since 2008. This is the first time the 6th Grade band has gone to festival. =Shelby County High School Choir ... 8th Grade Choir received a proficient rating on their pieces and proficient on their sight-singing. Shelby Singers received a Distinguished on their three pieces and Distinguished their sight-singing. Shelby Singers Group is now eligible to compete at the state level. Director of both groups is Courtney Richardson
