Principal Eddie Oakley assisted this eighth-grader with directions to find her classroom when the bell changed Wednesday morning, the first day of school. Each had a schedule and some even had maps, provided by Christina Olsson, the Youth Services Center coordinator. Things went smoothly for the high school where the eighth-graders were welcomed, some though some admitted they were nervous and had gotten lost.
The Mike Casey Gymnasium has a new floor and new mascot logo in the center of the court. The sanding and refinishing of the floor was a major summer project, along with a new paint scheme in Casey Gym as well as the small gym.
