A PLACE TO SLEEP

Once again, A Place to Sleep is offering our help to your children.  A Place to Sleep is an outreach ministry of First Presbyterian Church that provides beds and bedding for children in Shelby County who do not have an appropriate place to sleep.  This ministry was started in 2009 by a then 5th grader at Painted Stone Elementary who was inspired by the movie The Blind Side.  Since then, Jessica's ministry has helped over 100 children in Shelby County.

Some of the ways you can help is to contact Lynn if you have any bedding, beds, pillows as well as monetary donations.

As you can imagine, the start of school also brings the start of requests for A Place to Sleep.  We currently have requests for 3 families:

Family 1 - 4 children

Family 2 - 5 children + one on the way

Family 3 - 3 children

Each family can best use bunk beds if we can provide that.

If you'd like to help in any way, please email Lynn Whittaker at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
