Welcome to Wright Elementary! The teachers and staff take pride in joining families in a combined effort to guide the students at Wright to success. Wright Elementary is proud of the all the programs it provides in relationship to its vision statement “The "Wright" Road to Excellence” and is challenged to work with students, families and the community “to ensure the highest level of success for all students.
A dedicated staff concentrates on the individual child and his/her needs throughout the school day. School starts at 7:40 am and dismisses at 2:25 pm. An after-school care program is provided to offer both recreational and educational advantages. The involvement of family and community is made available through events that invite visitors to the school to see the educational experiences under way. Parents and community leaders share in learning activities through special dining invitations and/or classroom visits.
We believe in continuous improvement and set goals to help our students continue on a path of academic success...something that has been under way since the school was built in 1980 and named for the late Circuit Judge Coleman Wright, a strong advocate of public education.
