Students in Shelby County Public Schools participate in testing at various points throughout the school year.  Shelby County's assessment program includes both norm-referenced tests and criterion- referenced tests to provide an accurate representation of the performance of our students.

On this page you will find both an overview of State and District Assessments for the 2022-23 school year  and the District Assessment Calendar.  The District Assessment Calendar provides "windows" of time when a student may take a specific assessment.  Each school and/or classroom establishes when assessments will occur  within the "window" that best meets the needs of its students.

We hope that you find these resources helpful.
