March 26: Updates from EKU Admissions Office/Brandy Chamberlain, EKU Admissions Counselor: firstname.lastname@example.org
As a result of the COVID-19 changes, one of the most exciting things that we are implementing is a new virtual admissions services program. This includes: virtual live chats through Blackboard Collaborate, virtual meetings with students and families via phone or Zoom, and virtual campus visits. We are very excited to roll out these initiatives and hope they are helpful to you, your students, and their families. You can get more information, and schedule appointments by visiting: https://admissions.eku.edu/virtual-admissions-services
During this time of uncertainty, we realize some students who had planned to go further away might now be reconsidered staying closer to home, & we want to let them know that it is not too late to apply to EKU. We have decided to waive the application fee for Fall 2020 for all students, regardless of if they qualify for fee waiver or not. If you have any students who would still like to apply to EKU, please have them visit: https://admissions.eku.edu/apply
Due to the cancellation of key ACT & SAT testing dates, we are also allowing students who do not have test scores to be admitted using only their transcript. These students may have to take our placement test at some point over the summer, but we hope that by removing the ACT documentation requirement, it might help to alleviate some stress for your students
A financial hold on your JCTC account from prior semesters can interrupt registration for future classes and hold up transcripts for graduating seniors.
Students are responsible for the cost of digital content/online books assigned to courses by professors/college, tuition of courses resulting in a failing grade or tuition of courses from which the student has withdrawn, and tuition of additional courses scheduled beyond those qualifying for KHEAA or SCPS Dual Credit Scholarship. Log into your KCTCS account to see an itemized bill. Charges can be paid online with a credit card.
- Log into KCTCS site
- Select My Path
- Select Student Self Service
- Select Account
- Select “Make Payment”
- Select Credit Card (it will not ask for card info or charge)
An itemized bill should appear. You can see online content/online book fees, and tuition not covered by KHEAA or SCPS.
IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN A SEMESTER, DO NOT MAKE PAYMENT FOR TUITION PRIOR TO KHEAA AND SCPS TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS BEING APPLIED TO YOUR BILL. INPUT A "ZERO" IN THE AMOUNT BOX ON THE PAYMENT SCREEN FOR CURRENT SEMESTER TUITION CHARGES.
