Shelby County Kentucky Farm Bureau is now accepting scholarship applications. A Scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded annually to a student who is currently enrolled in a college/university. The recipient must be a member of Shelby County Farm Bureau.

Shelby Energy Scholarship
Scholarships
Shelby Energy provides $8,000 in scholarships each year to graduating high school Seniors. Six students are selected to receive a $1,000 Shelby Energy District Scholarship.
- The graduating senior must be planning to enroll as a full time student at an accredited college, university, or trade school.
- The student's parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must be a member in good standing with Shelby Energy Cooperative.
- Excludes family of employees or directors of Shelby Energy Cooperative.

Flavorful Futures-Go Green Scholarship
DEADLINE---March 16, 2021
Applications must meet ALL the following criteria:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States.
- Must be a high school senior graduating between August 1, 2020 and July 31, 2021.
- Must have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4 point scale (high school/home schooled seniors).
- Must intend to pursue a degree related to environmental studies
- Proof of involvement in sustainable initiatives and projects (volunteering work, job, etc.)
- Must enroll for Fall 2021 as a freshman or 1st year student in part-time or full-time study at a 2-year, 4-year, college, university, trade or vocational school. The school must be an accredited U.S. institution, and listed on the official website for the U.S. Department of Education.
- Must not be a relative or dependent child of an employee of Talking Rain or any of its retail customers

WKU Hilltopper Guarantee
The Hilltopper Guarantee is our pledge to close the gap for Kentucky students who may not otherwise be able to afford college. WKU guarantees 100% tuition coverage for any first-time, first-year freshman from Kentucky who receives Pell Grant assistance and has at least a 3.0 cumulative unweighted high school GPA.

For students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically (High GPA is not needed to apply).

Did you know that the KFRW gives a $1,500 scholarship to a high school senior girl?
The complete application will include the following:
- Completed application form
- A one-page typed essay about a Republican woman you admire or who has influenced your life and why
- An official copy of your high school transcript – which may be mailed separately
- Two letters of recommendation

Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship
Application Deadline: May 7, 2021
Eligibility Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• The applicant must be a senior.
• The applicant must have successfully completed a minimum of 4 credits within one career path at the Shelby County Area Technology Center, Shelby County High School, Martha Layne Collins High School or equivalent.
• The applicant must express a desire to obtain a career in Shelby County following their postsecondary training.
• The applicant must be accepted in a program at an accredited institution.
• Applicants committing to a career based in Shelby County following their postsecondary training will be given preferential treatment.

Shelby County Conservation District Scholarship
Scholarships will be awarded to the top two applicants planning to attend a College/University of their choice within the state of Kentucky. Both recipients will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be presented at a time appropriate to the recipients. The scholarship check will be written directly to the College/University of the recipient’s choice.
