Throughout this process, Mrs. Britt consistently demonstrated the energy and skills needed to support the school’s continued growth. She brings proven leadership, extensive experience working with diverse student populations, and a strong commitment to student success. I would like to thank Mrs. Artavia Acklin for building a strong foundation at West Middle School, as well as the SBDM Council members who generously gave their time and effort throughout this process. I also appreciate Dr. Adam Hicks and Mrs. JJ Black for helping lead the search, along with my executive team for their significant role in the process. I approach each leadership search collaboratively, and Mrs. Britt was the clear choice among everyone involved in the interview process. We are excited to welcome Mrs. Joni Britt to the SCPS family.”

With more than 20 years in education, Mrs. Britt has held a variety of leadership and instructional roles across Jefferson County Public Schools, Bullitt County Public Schools, and Warren County Public Schools.
