Shelby County Education Foundation Accepting Donations

Shelby County Public Schools is proud to announce the formation of the Shelby County Education Foundation.  In February of 2018, Citizens Union Bank generously donated the intitial $20,000 seed money to begin this organization. The SC Education Foundation will impact thousands of SC students for years to come. Education is the backbone of any community, and Shelby County is fortunate to have caring people who truly enhance the lives of children through their generosity. Among the many partners who share in the responsibility of preparing wise students who master standards, lead by example, and embrace social responsibility, SCPS would like to formally thank Citizens Union Bank for their continued efforts to support our school system.

The funding from the foundation is through private donations and not public funding.  Therefore, Shelby County Public Schools will have the potential to give scholarships to students and help fund classroom needs and special opportunities.

The Foundation's goal is to reach $50,000 by March of 2019.  Help us reach this goal so that we can fulfill our goals. To donate, go to our website shelby.kyschools.us/Page/1918.  To donate through Facebook visit fb/me/SCEDFoundation. The donation button in both places will take you to the Community Foundation of Louisville page. When there, please designate Shelby County Education Foundation the drop down bar.  You will receive an e-receipt. All donations are tax deductible.

Visit our website if you have questions or call 502.633.2375.  If you'd like to donate by mail, send your donation to the Shelby County Education Foundation at 1155 West Main Street, Shelbyville, Kentucky 40066.
