Network and WiFi Communication Message
Dear SCPS Families,
On March 15th, SCPS sent a message informing parents and staff about the efforts to improve our network. We are working to make sure that district issued devices are working effectively for our students for academic purposes. Dr. Neihof also addressed this in his March Video Update which was sent during the first week of spring break.
Because of the timing of the message and some questions we have been receiving, we want to make sure you have access to the information. Below is the original message to parents. Click here to see Dr. Neihof's March Video Update.

Message from March 15:
Dear Students and Parents,
In order to improve our network, all devices that currently are on our Wi-Fi will be removed. Shelby County Public School issued devices will be added back onto the network by our technicians.
Beginning the week of March 18, all students need to make sure they are bringing the device to school every day, fully charged.
Our teams of technicians will work to ensure that Shelby devices and approved personal laptops will be on our district Wi-Fi.
Starting on April 8, if your phone was on our district Wi-Fi previously, this will no longer work. Your phone’s connection will then be dependent on your own personal cellular network. Parents, please understand that your student will therefore be utilizing your mobile plan data usage.
