At Clear Creek Elementary School's summer daycare program, the theme for this week was The Amazing Race. The Amazing Race is based on a tv show where teams fly to destinations across the world and have to compete in physical and mental challenges in a race to make it to the final checkpoint. Tammy Simpson our Assistant Director of Daycare at Shelby County Schools did a great job coming up with a creative idea to make this an interactive activity for kids. The kids participated in a scavenger hunt and were able to work on skills in different areas. The kids were able to practice some of our core values like teamwork and empathy. Overall, the kids really enjoyed being able to do interactive activities and being able to work in teams with their classmates.
