Congratulations to Silas who placed 1st in the Kindergarten level of the KCA (Kentucky Chess Association) Grade Level Championship tournament held at North Bullitt High School. 13 state champions were crowned. Silas played in the Kindergarten grade level, though they combined it with 1st grade, so he had to play first graders as well. Mom said, "This was his first tournament, and only started playing a month ago."
