The Exhibition Celebration
Roses are red
Violets are blue
We want to celebrate
Our learning with you!
Earlier this year the school district revealed The Profile of a Graduate, a community vision that describes what a learner should know and be able to do as graduate of Shelby County Public Schools. Team PSE has worked hard to take that profile and develop an elementary version that we have titled the Profile of a Panther. The Profile of a Panther (PoP) exhibition represents a significant event in the life of a PSE student, synthesizing the essential elements of the PoP and sharing them with the whole school community, not just their teachers. As a culminating experience it is an opportunity for students to exhibit the attributes of the Profile of a Panther that are starting to develop during their tenure as a Painted Stone student (kindergarten through fifth grade). Our first exhibition is the initial step toward something greater for our school family. Later this month we will host our very first set of Student Learning Exhibitions. It is a work in progress, but we are ready to share that progress with you!! Please join us on from 5:45- 7:00 on February 20 (2nd/3rd Exhibitions), February 21 (K/1st Exhibitions), and February 22 (4th /5th Exhibitions). The PSE Exhibition will bond students, teachers, parents and other members of the school community in a collaborative experience that incorporates the essential elements of the PoP. We are so excited to share our learning with our friends and families.
As always...we'll continue to love each other, learn together, & lead the way with your support,
