Shelby County Public Schools will distribute meal kits on Monday, July 8th, July 15th, and July 22nd. Meal kits will be handed out at Marnel C. Moorman behind the school from 11:00-1:00 on a first come first serve basis. Parents will be able to pick up one meal kit per child. Each meal kit will contain 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches. There is a limit of two boxes if children are not present with a parent. Parents requesting food for more than two children will be required to have all children present at pickup. Parents will fill out a form with the child's name and birth date. If a child receives meals from any other program in the area that serves the summer meal program, day camps, or daycares, they are not eligible for a meal kit.

Nevaeh Acklin from SCHS, Charlotte Peirce from WMS and Joshua Stover (not pictured) from Painted Stone Elementary School presented their Defenses of Learning to the Kentucky Board of Education. SCPS is working to prepare students for their next steps. Utilizing the SCPS Profile of a Graduate, students defend their learning with evidence that they are effective communicators, lifelong learners, responsible collaborators, global citizens, critical thinkers, and inspired innovators. We are proud of our students sharing their exemplary Defenses of Learning with the Kentucky Board.
