Secondary School staff were back at it this morning at the Inspired Learning Conference! 📚🧪✨ Middle and High School teachers from across the district gathered at SCHS to exchange ideas and strategies, and to learn more about our switch to a Traditional Grading System. Everyone left with fresh ideas from each other and renewed energy for the classroom next week!

West Middle School is pleased to announce that Emily MacKinney has been named our new Assistant Principal.
Hello West Middle School families! I am thrilled to join this wonderful community as your new assistant principal. I bring 11 years of high school math teaching experience from JCPS and coaching experience from Ballard High School. Outside of school, I am a huge Kentucky Wildcat fan who loves going to games and cheering on my own children. My son plays football, baseball, and golf, and my daughter does gymnastics and plays soccer. I cannot wait to work with you and your students this year!
Please join us in congratulating Mrs. MacKinney as she begins her new role at West Middle School. We look forward to the contributions she will make to our students, staff, and scholl community.

Today we honor Martha Layne Collins: a proud Shelby County resident, graduate of Shelbyville High School, a former teacher, Kentucky’s first and only female governor, and the namesake of our Titans. Governor Collins was a steadfast supporter of Shelby County, its students, and pushing education forward across the entire state; always leading by example and showing just how high our young people can reach. It is an honor to be part of her lasting legacy, and we will continue to carry forward her vision and good work for generations to come. Our thoughts go out to her family and friends during this time.
Due to rainfall and current road conditions in certain areas of Shelby County, SCPS parents can come to school at any time to check their student(s) out of school. This is for all grade levels.
