Picture Retake Day is coming! It will be next Monday, November 10. If your child needs an order form, they can be picked up in the front office.
Today we honor Martha Layne Collins: a proud Shelby County resident, graduate of Shelbyville High School, a former teacher, Kentucky’s first and only female governor, and the namesake of our Titans. Governor Collins was a steadfast supporter of Shelby County, its students, and pushing education forward across the entire state; always leading by example and showing just how high our young people can reach. It is an honor to be part of her lasting legacy, and we will continue to carry forward her vision and good work for generations to come. Our thoughts go out to her family and friends during this time.

Shelby County Cultural Fest is THIS Saturday, 10/4.
Info from SCPS:
Come support our East Middle Band students. They will be having a Fall Band Concert, in the East Middle Gymnasium, on Friday, September 26. 6th grade will play at 6pm and 7th/8th will play at 7pm. Admission is free but donations will be accepted.
Our East Middle School Girls Basketball team is still looking for a few more 6th and 7th grade girls to add to our team. (We do NOT need any additional 8th grade players.) If your daughter is interested in playing girls basketball this season, she should attend practice on Monday, Sept. 22 from 4:00-6:00 pm! Interested girls will stay after school for practice & must be picked up at 6:00 pm. A current KHSAA sports physical is required for participation.
**This additional tryout WILL be open to current 5th grade students as well. 5th grade students can be dropped off at 4:00 pm. Meet Coach Perry at the back door of the East Middle gym for entry at that time.**
