Important announcement about Prom

All students must have a registration form signed by a parent to buy their prom ticket.
Forms can be picked up outside of room 127, 164, 240, 214, the library, guidance office or main office.

There will be NO TICKET SALES on Friday, March 20th or Tuesday, March 24 (after school).


Thursday, March 26th tickets will be sold after school until 4:30.

Last Day to buy a ticket at $50 each is Friday, March 27th!!!! Then it is Spring Break and when we come back it is prom week! Tickets will be sold on April 6th and 7th but they are $60 each. No tickets will be sold after April 7th.

Join Us for Assistive Technology Make & Take Night! Shelby County Public Schools is excited to host an Assistive Technology Make & Take Night for our families! This hands-on event is a great opportunity to explore tools, strategies, and resources that support student learning at home and at school. 📅 March 26 🕠 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM 📍 Blair Center (attached to Southside Elementary) What You Can Do at Make & Take Night: 🔹 Create visual schedules, communication boards, task analyses, and more 🔹 Make sensory tools to meet individual needs at home 🔹 Explore 3D-printed assistive devices and take home various switches and supports 🔹 Gain helpful strategies and resources related to communication, behavior, and transitions This event is free for SCPS families and is a wonderful way to discover tools that can make a big impact! We hope to see you there!

The SCHS National Art Honor Society will be hosting its first fundraiser! These spirit wear shirts were designed by the NAHS Vice President, Liz Strain. The design features the drawing departments mascot and still life skeleton, Sir Hubert, riding a Shelby County Rocket on his way to paint up a storm. T-Shirts will be produced by our own students in the SKILLS USA club!

🚜🌾 Shelby County High School Brings Back Drive Your Tractor to School Day! 🌾🚜 Shelby County High School proudly welcomed students to campus in a unique and exciting way as we revived our Drive Your Tractor to School Day in celebration of FFA Week! The morning began with a special breakfast sponsored by Shelbyville community partners, setting the tone for a day focused on tradition, leadership, and community pride. Students also sold Drive Your Tractor to School Day shirts as part of the celebration, showcasing their Rocket pride while supporting FFA initiatives. Students displayed a variety of tractors and agricultural equipment, representing the dedication, responsibility, and strong work ethic that define our farming community. The event served as a meaningful reminder of the important role agriculture plays in Shelby County and highlighted the leadership development and career pathways available through FFA. We are grateful for the continued support of our community partners who help make opportunities like this possible. Thank you to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and Shelby County Emergency Management for assisting with safety and logistics to ensure a smooth arrival for our students. A special thank you to our FFA Advisor and agriculture teacher for her leadership and organization, and to our Junior Class, the students who participated, and especially Karigan Tingle for taking the lead.
