SCPS: West Bound 64 is shut down at the Simpsonville Exit due to an accident at Mile marker 22/23. Buses will be delayed due to high volumes of traffic on US 60 and other roads in Shelbyville.

The Super Bowl of School Supplies is coming to Shelbyville! Ready Fest is this Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Shelbyville Conference and Welcome Center, 219 7th Street, Shelbyville, Kentucky. The event supplies FREE back-to-school supplies for EVERYONE !



On Monday, July 8th, our school nutrition team served 240 meal kits to families. That is 3360 meals!
The system worked smoothly and we were able to meet the demand. We will offer meal kits again on Monday the 15th and Monday the 22nd.

Shelby County Public Schools will distribute meal kits on Monday, July 8th, July 15th, and July 22nd.
Meal kits will be handed out at Marnel C. Moorman behind the school from 11:00-1:00 on a first come first serve basis.
Parents will be able to pick up one meal kit per child. Each meal kit will contain 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches.
There is a limit of two boxes if children are not present with a parent.
Parents requesting food for more than two children will be required to have all children present at pickup.
Parents will fill out a form with the child's name and birth date.
If a child receives meals from any other program in the area that serves the summer meal program, day camps, or daycares, they are not eligible for a meal kit.



The Magic School Bus is at Daniel Field on Washington Street from 10 - 12 Monday through Thursday this week. A free lunch will be served on-site at 11:15. Join in the fun!

Shelby County High School Theatre held the Rocket Lane Theatre Camp this past week for Kindergarten through fifth-grade students. High school theatre students served as directors, camp counselors, choreographers, music teachers, and more as they led thirty-five younger students representing Heritage, Wright Elementary School, Simpsonville Elementary School, Clear Creek Elementary, and Marnel C. Moorman School through a week of learning their parts for Disney's 101 Dalmatians Kids. Parents and community were invited to enjoy performances on Friday, June 14th, and Saturday, June 15th. Chase Noffsinger is the theatre director at SCHS. Here are a few pics from the production. #shelbyinspired #IL3
